Custom Application Development

Client: CEVA LOGISTICS

Client background

CEVA Logistics is a global leader in third-party logistics, offering integrated supply chain solutions which connect people, products, and suppliers all over the world.

Problematic

CEVA LOGISTICS plans to internally handle the logistic aspect control (CAL) of new vehicles upon exiting the factory.
However, a critical challenge arises: how to improve the security, availability, and reliability of the data related to this process, taking into account the possibility of recording damages observed during vehicle inspections even in the absence of an internet connection?
To address this issue, Gefco Maroc Free Zone is considering developing a web application specifically designed to allow the recording of damages even when internet connectivity is unavailable, while ensuring the subsequent extraction of the recorded data.

Project Context

CEVA LOGISTICS has approached Euro Tech Conseil to develop a dedicated web application for recording damages detected on vehicles during inspection and extracting the entered data.
The goal is to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and speed of collecting critical information about new vehicles (NV).
A notable feature of this application is its ability to operate in offline mode, thereby ensuring workflow continuity even in environments where connectivity is limited.

Solution

Euro Tech Conseil will be responsible for developing a PWA (Progressive Web App) digital solution that will provide inspectors with the ability to quickly and efficiently record various damages observed on new vehicles (NV) during Logistic Aspect Control (CAL), whilst permitting the capture of corresponding photos. This solution will allow managers to retrieve entered information about a specific vehicle in Excel and PDF formats. The primary features of the application are:
• Damage recording via the mobile application.
• Data extraction from the web application into an Excel file.
• Data extraction from the web application into a PDF format for each vehicle.

Results

The implementation of the new solution has improved the inputting of various defects by the controllers, allowing them to do so in a quicker and more efficient manner, while also enabling them to take photos. Additionally, this solution has made data extraction in different formats easier.
